NEW for 2025! Yarmouth Rowing Club hosted a Learn to Row program in June 2025 at the Waynflete School Boathouse in Portland, Maine on the Fore River. Adults new to rowing or wanting a refresher joined us.
We welcomed complete rowing neophytes as well as former rowers who have been out of the game and are looking for some refreshers. We rowed out of Portland with expert coaches in a friendly, safe setting. We explored parts of the lovely Fore River just off Commercial Street.
Dates: 18 hours over two weeks in June (Su/M/W/F):
Sunday June 1, 1-4pm
Monday June 2, 5:30-7:30pm
Wednesday June 4, 5:30-7:30pm
Friday June 6, 5:30-7:30pm
Sunday June 8, 4-7pm
Monday June 9, 5:30-7:30pm
Wednesday June 11, 5:30-7:30pm
Friday June 13, 5:30-7:30pm
Cost: $350 pp for the full session, either check or Venmo. $150 of your Learn to Row can be applied to Yarmouth Rowing Club dues should you decide to join the club. If you have already joined the club, the course cost is $200. Payment is due by the first session, but space will be allocated on a first paid/first-served basis.
