About

The Yarmouth Rowing Club program welcomes adults with rowing experience.

Our Club Ambassadors are available to answer questions, provide an orientation and familiarize new members with the equipment, club procedures, and the river. Once oriented to the Club, members sign up for rows based on their schedule. Contact Us

OUR LOCATION
We operate on the pristine Cousins River in Yarmouth, Maine. We share a boatyard with extensive shellfish growers and our hosts, Sea Meadow. The site is located at 123 Even Keel Road in Yarmouth. It’s an unpaved road just north of the Casco Bay Ford parking lot.

We have two boat racks, one for club fours and a quad. The second rack is for smaller boats. We also have an oar rack and a dock. The Cousins River is tidal and is unrowable for two hours on either side of low tide.

Our seasonal ramp and float are installed and removed annually by Custom Float. The entire operation is removed and stored each winter at the Boat Barn at the Town of Yarmouth’s transfer station. Shells are washed with fresh water and supplied by gravity feed with supplemental on-demand storage.

DIRECTIONS
From 295, take exit 17 and head North on Route 1 toward Freeport. JUST past The Ford Dealership parking lot, turn right onto Even Keel Road (a dirt road). Please drive slowly (10 mph) to keep the dust down. Bear left at the fork and go all the way to the end of the road. We share the yard with shellfish growers and working boatyards so please drive slowly and watch for vehicles, delivery trucks, boatyard dogs, etc.

LIMITED PARKING
As we share the waterfront space, the parking is very limited and restricted to designated areas only. You may also choose to park at the nearby Yarmouth Visitor Center Park & Ride area and carpool over.

While there is a porta potty, a tank of water and a hose for the boats, there is no potable water on site. Please bring your own water bottle.
